VP TAYLOR, MOFA EXTOL NASSCORP

Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor thanked the National Social Security & Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP) for contributing to the feeding of people with disabilities.

“Your contribution enabled my team and I to host a successful event, which was greatly appreciated by those referenced,”

VP Taylor said.

The Vice President’s commendation was contained in a letter from her office dated August 6, 2018, and addressed to NASSCORP Director-General Dewitt vonBallmoos. The Liberian Vice President prayed that God would replenish NASSCORP’s storehouse, for with the needy adding, “Please accept Hon. Director-General, the sentiments of my esteem.”

It can be recalled that prior to the celebration of this year’s Independence Day, NASSCORP contributed L$800,000 to the office of the Vice President to enable the office to organize“26” Day party for the less fortunate around the country. In a related development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has, on behalf of President George Manneh Weah, extended profound gratitude to NASSCORP for its generous donation towards programs marking the 171st Independence Day celebration.

The Ministry noted that through NASSCORP’s generosity the Independence Day celebration which was commemorated under the theme, “Unifying the Nation for Pro-poor Development”, was a success. The ministry hoped that NASSCORP’s sponsorship of the Independence Day celebration would mark the beginning of a long-lasting relationship with this Administration, and appreciated NASSCORP’s commitment to the Government and People of Liberia.

The letter concluded by thanking NASSCORP for helping to contribute to the celebration. NASSCORP contributed L$2.4 Million towards the Independence Day celebration as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.
